Laura, 52/365

My glorious Saturday night grading 40 undergraduate exams. I might need a drink...or seven.

This is what a sick birthday party girl looks like.

Fancy dress? Check.

Fever? Check.

Cough? Check.

Rash that may or may not be related? Check.

Just our luck!

One of Z's newly-instilled weekly chores is to feed the cats.
He is quite thorough.

Someone unlocked all the characters on Lego Star Wars!

Today I had an appointment to get a CT scan done in order to look at my sinuses. I've been having trouble with my allergies since my son was born 8 years ago and have just gotten around to getting it looked at. After hours of studying what normal sinus CT scans look like and severe Sinusitis CT scans look like, it looks like I belong in the latter category. Suck! I haven't shared these with my doctor yet (I should see him next week) but I just know he's going to suggest surgery. Add this to my recent diagnosis of LPR (a sort of acid reflux) and I feel like I'm falling apart. The addition of 4 new medicines to my regimen doesn't bother me too much but not being able to eat my most favorite foods just chaps me. How does one live without caffeine? I beg of someone to tell me!

Btw, obviously I didn't take above picture.

My hubby is Vietnamese. In most, if not all asian cultures, it is customary to leave your shoes at the door. I don't do this, and I don't mind it so long is it is only one, maybe two pairs. Every week I walk past my entry way and see what seems to be something quite similar to the men's shoe department at Nordstrom. Today, there are TWELVE pairs sitting there. Sheesh. Time for me to relocate the kicks.
