Guess who has been sick since Sunday? She has been running high fevers for days. I took her to the DR and she does not have strep. I will be taking her in again if this does not stop by tomorrow. As sick as she is, she is still so pretty if you ask me. :)

Can you see it? The enlarged thyroid gland in my neck? Yeah...I couldn't either.
So here's the story: I went into the doctors office to check my blood pressure because I had a rapid pulse keeping me awake at night. I thought it was blood pressure or too much coffee, but I walked out with new knowledge that my thyroid was causing heart irregularities. In a strange twist, I have hyperthyroidism, or Graves Disease.
I'm not entirely sure what this means yet, in the long term sense, but its just my luck to be the only human alive with Graves Disease who hasn't lost oodles of weight. Now I have a fat ass, and a fat goiter. I mean seriously, I'll take the enlarged thyroid if it means I get a smaller ass! (I'm just kidding...I'm taking this all very seriously...sort of...)

This is Kate showing off her new sweater that she got for her birthday. My friends Mother is from Ireland and made this for her. The pattern she used is one that her own Mother used for her. (60 plus years ago!) The buttons are leather. Its amazing. You can't buy something this lovely. The love and thought put into this gift is so touching. Plus she made it in Aggie Princess color just for Kate! This will be something I save for Kate.
