These are KayTar's belly buttons. As you can see, she is doubly gifted. One button fed her while she grew in my womb and the other feeds her as she grows in the world. We think both are pretty special.
My nephew had one of those when he was a baby. His esophagus was missing several inches at the top, so he couldn't eat normally. It took several months, but eventually the part connected at the stomach end grew enough to be stretched to meet the part at the throat end and they were able to surgically stitch it together. Truly remarkable.

Both are darn cute if you ask me!
Beautiful - in words and image. I'm so happy for that 2nd button and what's it's done for her.
