Portland Spring 2010, here I come! I have just submitted my first ever paper proposal for a conference being held in Portland next spring. Its not just any conference...its THE conference for "my people." For environmental historians, this conference is akin to a candy store for kids! Oh my gosh I'm so nervous I could pee!!

Holy crap! I'm so excited for you. I've seen the equivalent of that conference for my field and I know how excited I would be to be in the same ROOM with some of those guys.
It reminds me of that Dell commercial. "Our superheroes are not like your superheroes."
ROF Mary! TOO true...my superheroes are a bunch of old bearded tree hugger men who write fantastic and interesting books. I think I might pass out if I get to meet one of them. I won't think about that now or I'll get too nervous!
