My friend and I used to joke about whether or not we were actually the same person, and whether we'd only cast one shadow if we stood together. Now I have evidence that we have separate shadows, as his is holding mine up with a marshmallow gun!

My coworkers and I went to Freddie's Place last night for my going away party.  Tasty food + good (and plentiful) drinks + great company = a fantastic evening and a moderate headache this morning.  Ah well, it was completely worth it to have one last great evening with some of my favorite buddies.

So my couch is pure evil.  I was innocently walking past it with my mind on washing my face and getting ready for bed, and look what it did to me!  Once I got cleaned up, I looked for the part that bit me, but it was tucked so far down that I have no idea how it happened.  I'll spare you the really gory part, though.  Even Clint was almost nauseated at the details.

I put in my notice at work today, after taking a serious look at my future with the bank, finances, and school plans.  I was planning to take the summer off for an internship, but now I've made the choice not to go back.  To my surprise, the news was taken with good grace and respect. What a load off my mind!  When I got out to my car after work, I saw this sign.  I've seen it a million times, but I'd forgotten it even existed.  How appropriate that I would notice it today.

Hey guys, I've been in a pretty major funk for the last few weeks.  My old nemesis chronic depression has been hitting me pretty hard.  Since baking is my best form of therapy right now I thought I'd catch up with my week in sweets.  Sorry to all of you that might be dieting...

2/19/09 - Inspired by more of Phyllis's food porn, I had to make cheesecake & praline topping.

2/21/09 - Had dinner with my sister, her boyfriend, and Clint.  Upon Liz's request, I made chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting.

2/26/09 - Taking a coffee break between classes.  I love this place; it's so comforting.

This is what I come home to every evening. Poor guy doesn't sleep well at night and wears himself out at work. I wake him up, we make dinner, and then it's practically time for me to go to bed. *sigh* It won't last forever, right?
